Red hill-private property

Just wondering what any sydney siders know about red hill being private property,had a mate riding there on monday and he had some guy who was driving in the gate give him some verbal about how it was private property,When he reached the bottom along the fence it says private property no tresspasing!
To my knowledge i thought it was crown land so whats the go?

Reh hill (the reserve area with the trails and jumps) is mainly owned by the catholic church belive it or not! But there are propertys both above and below that utilise this land for acess, and the dh track gizzlys comes out on someones backyard , where the no tresspassing sign is.

Duap (dept of urban planning?) owns the sections at the very top at the picnic area.

thanx j-ro the person up the top gate collected mail from the letter box then drove up the fire trail.Hope the guy at the bottom is gonna leave his garage open so we can continue thru !!!!!!
