Rides up North near Myall Lakes (Newcastle)

Hey guys,
So on the weekend I'm going up North to Bungwahl (on the Myall Lakes) for the weekend, and want to take my bike... Are there any good trails around there? I'm driving up from Sydney so something on the way up would be good, or something maybe within 30-45 minutes drive from there... Thought it would be a good chance to explore some new areas while I'm there. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I know it's not actually Newcastle, it's north of there...

You pretty much drive straight past Ourimbah and awaba on the way to Newcastle. Both places have plenty of good riding. Both tracks are just a short drive off the freeway. Defiantly worth a look if you haven't been before.

There's trails at Taree. Just go back out to the highway and head north. I'm pretty sure there'd be trails around bungwahl too, considering the area is mainly bush. Maybe head into tuncurry and ask at the bike shop.
