Riding around Currarong NSW

I will be down in Currarong this weekend and was just wondering is there somewhere around there where there is a decent XC trail for say a 3 hour pedal.

Weather looks like it may wet so any suggestions for a decent fire trail ride in the vicinity.

But if the weather turns out ok, any good single track?

Suggestions appreciated!

There are the Nowra tracks - Coondoo, Superbowl & Butterfly in the Currambene State Forest http://nswmtb.asn.au/node/15886

They are fun xc tracks worth checking out.

i haven't been there in years but last time I was there I found lots of nice places for exploring. Not dedicated mtb trails but there's a bunch of trails that run along the cliffs and between the beaches. There's also a tonne of dirt road if you go into the military bit (which is fine so long as they're not bombing anythign at the time )you just have to tell them at the gate who you are. Lots more exploring to be had out there also.

Great spot. I think I need another holiday out that way...

i've taken a bike down there a few times, plenty of fire trails around
good place to play 'identify the burned out car' too!
plus you can ride out to the big tunnel/cave

they do get very wet though, i rode through a puddle that had a live turtle in it!!!!!

Go for a bit of a drive back towards Nowra on Forest rd then give this a try.

Should kill a few hours, if it doesn't you could always add this into it.

Thanks guys, this all looks so good, I really hope the rain holds off so I can ride these and not end up on the firetrails.

Now to decide whether SS or geared!

If it rains most of the firetrails will turn to sticky clay, take the SS.
