Roam Premiere Last Night In Whistler

So I went and checked out the world/canadian premiere of Roam last night.

Have to say big props to the Collective, I saw some of the most amazing filming techniques I have ever seen, if it wasnt a cable, follow, aerial, something else interesting shot then it wasnt in there.

There was some amazing footage of Ryan Leech riding street in Prague and its cool to see him the next day doing demos in the village square

The best part of the film is the part in the Whistler Bike Park, Rennie and someone else are absolutely hammering through the trails up here it is unbelievable. Also cool to see some local riders getting some exposure with the big boys as well...

Anyway check it out when you can you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah Bike park should open apr 29 (or thats the word anyway)

I have no idea, they said it will be released on DVD in May over here so yeah maybe around that time??

i WAS going to just watch the trailer and go to bed...

but i had to come back here after watching it and say:

FUCK ME DEAD I NEED THAT DVD!


it is harder and harder for a rider, freeriders in particular, to impress me much anymore...but that, mate, blew me away! i've seen photos of some of that stuff, but even the best photographers in the world can't capture it like the Collective boys can.

Isn't Whistler still covered in snow?

The snow in the valley has melted all but entirely, they have been able to keep the ski out open but shit, just barely. The first scheduled weekend opening is on the 29th but yeah we will have to wait and see.

The Roam premiere was at the Telus Conference center, the set up was dope it was like seating 360 degrees around about 5 center screens with a stage beneath the Giant screens for the MC. They showed it as part of the Telus Festival that is happening right now.

Anyway as soon as the park opens I will try and get some pics for you guys.
