Rockshox GRIP DBC (REV RC '19)

Just noticed rockshox have a new version of their Charger RC for 2019 that uses a spring backed IFP and a dynamic bleed system!
Seems there are no new suspension ideas at the moment.

I have spent the last few weeks riding a Marz 350ncr and have been very impressed with the dbc cartridge! It is quote noisy compared to an actually sealed damper, but it works so well absorbing small bumps while riding high in the stroke which previous marz forks had to trade off between sensitivity and support.

So is DBC (grip) going to be licenced by more brands and be the predominant damper design in thw future??

The idea of bladders was to reduce friction. An IFP has friction, so isn't this a backward step?

He says it has a normal tapered needle low speed rebound, and that the rebound piston is made from plastic or nylon.
Apparently it only has 5 cllicks of low speed comp so it probably doesn't have a proper compression piston, but something more similar to a motion control valve.
The design is based off their accelerator damper from the RS-1... So this isn't actually rockshox's first IFP style damper after all
