This is the perfect opportunity for China to take Siberia and all the resources there that Russia doesn't have the resources to extract. Just march across the border and block the trans siberian railroad and road. This just leaves the Bam single track railway further north keeping the 2 halves of the country connected.

I would've said around 10 years a few months ago, but they'll be watching this very closely given Russia and China both use the same rhetoric around Ukraine / Taiwan respectively and both have leaders hellbent on making themselves dictators for life, silencing all opposition and being seen as "strong".
That said, invading Taiwan is an pretty hard prospect. Would be a pretty pyrrhic victory for China if they had a go.

It’ll be interesting to see over the next few days just what happens with America’s RWNJ media. Tucker Carlson was singing Putin’s praises little more than 24hrs ago and apparently Trump’s been interviewed and is blaming it on ‘the rigged US election’
Meanwhile there’s been reports that Belarusian forces are fighting alongside the Russian forces so it’s already escalated to 3 parties now.
