Haha cheers for the heads up, I too was like WTF are these hanging cables doing and apparently I can't do much about it
Dont worry about it...absolutely love these bikes and tbh i never had much of a problem with the cables..sure its not pretty but the thing is such an awesome bike you will soon forget about that kind of stuff...enjoy your new ride!

Sorry if I missed something, but is this 26 or 27.5"? Hard to tell as I think it's a small frame, which makes the wheels look bigger.

How do you find getting the tyres on/off the Enve rims?

I've never had a problem with the cables either, but they do look a little ugly compared to most other bikes around these days. The OP might want to extend them down a bit as running them that tight is going to put heaps of strain on the cables when the bike is using full rear travel. I let all of the air out of my shock and fully compressed the bike to get the cable length right and it was more than I expected.

Hey Nautonier,

It's a 26er.
In re to removing the tyre, I've heard it's hard, I haven't removed it myself but my bro and my LBS haven't had issues although I am having issues with it holding air but that's an ongoing monitoring at the moment.

Cheers for the tip on the hanging cable, I think it's long enough, I haven't had any issues yet lol

If you ever want to try 650b, you can convert this bike like I did (I had the same frame) by buying a 650b rear end from Specialised for $700. Obviously you then need new wheels and forks, but it's a much cheaper option than buying a new bike.

I did look into this option.
Did you have a thread on the conversion?

Sold the Mavic wheels, replaced them with ENVEs :)

That is some serious stickering.
Those Enves decals almost look glow in the dark.
Query on the dropper. Do you prefer the underseat lever to a remote or is it just a way of keeping cables tidy?
I have that same dropper on my HT and a remote on my FS. I find that I use the remote dropper way more than the lever.
Keeping hands on the bars is confidence inspiring. Especially for a Gumby like me.
Having said that, the KS dropper is a much nicer action than the Spesh Command post.
Nice bike. I got a comp in 29r flavour, lot of bike.
Love it.
Looking at maybe doing a 6fat wheel build to give me an extra option

Haha cheers man.

The under seat lever was just a way of keeping cables tidy, there have been times where I've been like, daaamn, it'd be nice to have the lever. I did have the Spesh Command Post but man, that thing would crush your nuts cause of how fast it boosted the seat up.

I prefer to have a lot of bike, just means I can take on it almost anything and attempt to build better fitness to lug it uphill haha

I'm curious on how 6fat does with climbing, may have to go read mitchy_'s thread on his 6fat haha

I'm also happy to lug it uphill for what it offers on the down. It's not light but neither am I.
Would be hard to go back to a lesser rig. It's way too much for around here where I live but I'm still a fan.

Was talking to a mate just this morning about 6fats. He has just built up a set for his Honzo.
Said the grip was next level and he can still go lower with the pressures. He's well stoked on them.
Rolls alright too.

You can just set the pressure lower to avoid that harsh top out.
