Does it have a sweet citrus smell? But it boils at much higher temps , so no brake fade.

A liddle update.... Shimano M485 brake bled with Magura blood over the weekend. At last check this morning no visible leaks yet. However a squeeze test with very tightly-fitting bleed block inserted has a rather spongy feel, more than the brake had with the right juice. Next test (none of this is on the bike, I'm not suicidal!) will be with pads fitted & grabbing a rotor to see if the contact stroke is affected in any way. After letting sit & stew for a while longer I'll pull both brakes (the other still has Shimano oil in it for control) apart & see if there's any degradation of the internals with Magura oil.I can feel an experiment coming on.... I have some Magura blood in the workshop that I can't see being used for a very long time, and a set of old cheap Shimano brakes at home....
Canola oil is useful for cooking hot potato chips, and cause your clothes will now be full of vinegar flavour just wipe chip on shirt for salt and vinegar chipAnd one with canola oil...that's gotta be useful for something!
No, because I don't have any more spare brakes. Can you get a third brake running with baby oil? And a 4th with water?
Magura do (or at least used to) say in their service notes that in a pinch you can use cooking oil in their brakes. And one with canola oil...that's gotta be useful for something!
People! The Duck desperately needs your old flogged out brakes in the shop...for the name of science hear his plea! No, because I don't have any more spare brakes.
Any update on the conditions of them now?A liddle update.... Shimano M485 brake bled with Magura blood over the weekend. At last check this morning no visible leaks yet.
