The BB on my gf's bike is creaking up a storm and i would like to replace it.

Its a shimano octalink style on a 2010 vintage giant yukon hardtail.

My question is what would be the dimensions? Is there one that would be standard on mtbs? Measuring the unit, it appears to be ~73mm wide. Chain reaction seems to offer a variety of options:

I also assume this would be the tool to remove it:

I have crank pullers etc so all good there.

Highly annoying all the different bottom bracket standards out there.... need so many tools haha

Thanks

Check axle width. I'll have a new or near new spare, depending on width. It's on the sticker. Eg, 73x118mm
