hey guys,
i just bought a DMR ss kit with chain tentioner, and we took it down to my local bike shop and they said they couldent fit it because it didnt have quick release it was bolt on. They also said it wont work because they couldent fit the tentioner on, and also said that you cant use it without a tentioner because it will have no tention in the chain and it will fall off. is this all true? or can it be done without a tentioner?
thanks,

It can be done the P bikes have horizontal dropouts so you shouldn't need a tensioner.

Rubbish, its not ideal, but it will work with a quick release.

IMO don't worry about swapping the axle - yet to find a decent aftermarket one - save for a good hub.
