singlespeed?

Hey everyone.
I have an old 08 Norco wolverine i want to make singlespeed.
Now i want to know if i can do this with out removing the casettle and putting on a single speed kit. now this bike isn't gonna be used lots and i just wanna do this because the bikes rusting in the shed and the gears a stuffed anyways.

you can run it on your existing set up, but it is much better using a single speed kit.

hahaha u will need to take out a few more than one or 2 if your were running geers before. if it does not get perfect tention on any geering just put on a chain tentioner best value would be the da bomb tentioners with the red jockey wheel wide enough for a bmx chain. they are $29.99 rrp and are cheaper than most others and better aswell

I did it all today, it works but the chain needs tensioning so i might buy a tensioner so will i have to remove the casseste to do that
