Came a across a frame, fork and shock for sale ad late last year which conveniently were the parts I needed to make a complete bike from my spare parts.

A few weekends later, she's been stripped, cleaned, bearings replaced, forks & brakes rebuilt and now she's good to ride.

Frame - 2008 Kona Stinky (no D.O.P.E)

Rear shock - FOX DHX RC4 Ti Coil with offset bushings

Front shock/fork - Rockshox Totem Coil 180mm

Handlebars - Merida 800mm

Stem - Some Merida one 40mm

Headset - VP Components

Grips - RaceFace Nelson

Saddle - Some fat old one I had lying around

Brakes - Avid Elixir R 203/180 rotors

Cranks - Truvativ GXP Firex 175mm - Thanks @Snockers

Chainring - 36t

Chain - Shimano HG93

Pedals - Wellgo MG1

Rear derailleur - SRAM X9

Rear shifter - SRAM X7

Cassette - Shimano HG61, 11-34t

Hubs - Specialized Hi Lo disc

Rims - DT Swiss E440S

Front Tyre - Specialized Clutch Control 2.3

Rear Tyre - Specialized Purgatory Control 2.2

Total weight - haha ... doesn't feel as heavy as I thought

Things to do:
  • Sus out replacement fork decals as they look quite work but from a distance looks like mad camo so I can live with that for now.
  • Rebuild the shock ... looks nowhere as simple compared to the fork.
Thanks to @link1896 for the detailed guide on his build

Mr Greenfield
Looks good, I should finish mine and join you for some old school freeride fun.

Picked up a monarch plus for mine, but to get her going just need to drill and tap front brake calliper adapter and bleed the front guide brakes.

Yeah gave it a boot at Lysty and Youies ... coil feels great, especially on jumps. Feels very solid overall.

Since then I have also swapped the shock to a Fox RC4, removed the floodgate on the Totem and drilled the cable stops out of the routing
