Extra Info: This is a near-new Light & Motion Seca 1500 light that is in 100% functional condition. It has never been crashed or damaged in any way, and both the battery and head unit are in tip-top condition. I'm selling this light as I upgraded to the Seca 2000.
Retailing for $649, the Seca 1500 is a powerful 1500-Lumen light that features a lightweight and compact design. It punches out an incredible amount of light in a very even and broad beam pattern that is completely devoid of the "hot spot" that many of the cheap lights on the market struggle with. This beam pattern quality comes down to customised lens optics and curved reflectors.
The head unit integrates 6 x LED's into a heat-sink casing to help the light run cool on warm summer evenings, and it uses an alloy casing for durability. The battery pack uses Lithium-Ion cells that are incased in a tough plastic housing that's capped with rubber seals to provide impact resistance. The whole light and battery pack are waterproof and are designed to be durable for mountain bike use.
Charge time from full depletion is just 2.5 hours with the included Smart Charger, which plugs straight into a power socket. On full power you'll get 2 hours of run time, but step the light down to Medium (800 Lumens) or Low (450 Lumens) settings, and you'll get up to 8 hours of run time.
The Seca 1500 includes a helmet mount in the box, and I've found it to be a brilliant light on its own when mounted to your helmet. For the hardcore racers out there, you could pair the Seca 1500 to a bar light for the ultimate 12/24 hours setup. Without the helmet mount, the Seca 1500 mounts straight to your handlebar with the integrated rubber strap. This makes it super simple to mount and remove, and adds versatility to the light for riders who might be mixing up their night riding with early morning road rides or city commuting.
