Item: Niner ROS 9 Boutique Steel Trail Hardtail XL Size

Location: Bendigo

Item Condition: Excellent near-new condition. Every component in 100% functional working order. No crash damage, no dints or cracks in the frame, and no scratches or damage to the paint finish. Wheels spinning 100% true, with no buckles, flat spots or broken spokes. Bike was initially setup as a singlespeed, so the SRAM 1x11 drivetrain is brand new with less than 50km of riding on the clock. Tyre wear at 90%, brake pad wear at 95%, and the chain is barely showing any sign of stretch on the Park Tool chain gauge. Bike has received a full service in preparation for sale, including a brake bleed and check of all nuts and bolts. Suspension fork also freshly serviced in preparation for sale with new damping and lubrication fluid and grease.

Reason for selling: Trimming back the bike collection, and this is the N+1.

Price and price conditions: $2500 for the complete bike.

Extra Info: This is a Niner ROS 9 steel trail hardtail in an XL frame size. It's a regretful sale, as this is a beautiful bike that has been a pleasure to build and ride. However, it has to go, and hopefully someone out there will be able to give it the use it deserves.
The ROS 9 is Niner's trail-oriented steel hardtail, with a little more attitude that the SIR 9 and the ability to take a longer travel fork up front. As with the SIR 9, the ROS (Rolls Over Shit) is crafted from custom butted and swaged steel tubing to end up with some amazing profiles. The rear end is super compact to deliver responsive cornering, while the slack head tube angle helps to keep the bike stable and controlled on high-speed descents. It's a really, really fun bike to ride!

The bike has been custom built from the ground up, though it initially began life as a singlespeed. There's a top-level Revelation fork from RockShox, which uses the RCT3 damper cartridge for greater adjustability and control. Shimano SLX disc brakes are bulletproof and super powerful, and the Roval Traverse wheels use a nicely wide profile that works well with the fat tubeless Schwalbe tyres. I recently built up the bike with a SRAM 1x11 speed drivetrain, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get much riding on the bike since putting the gears on. As such, the drivetrain is near-new and tuned to perfection. However, with the BioCentric bottom bracket system, the ROS 9 is super easy to setup singlespeed if you decide to down the track.

If you have any questions about the bike or any of the components, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I'm happy to discuss any of the technical details, and I'm also happy to discuss splitting the bike if you're after the frame alone or specific parts. See the pricing I've listed below;

From Niner Bikes:

"WHAT MAKES THE ROS 9 TICK? Keep It Steel, Stud. The 4130 Cro-Mo tube set of the ROS 9 is the trusted standard for durability and ride quality. Following the lines and design language of the SIR 9, these tubes have been beefed up to handle the abuse the ROS 9 is designed to shrug off. The super-short chainstays provide a lofty front end feel while the slack HT angle keeps the front end composed at Mach Loony speeds. A neutral BB height can be made low or high to slay YOUR trails by positioning the BioCentric 2 where it will do the most good."
