Item: Mavic 823 rim 32 Holes, silver rear hub with red cones (I assume it to be a Hope hub but there are no markings?) Shimano HG 9 Speed Cassette, DT Spokes, Maxxis Minion 2.5 tyre. Fitted with one of the heavy Maxxis DH tubes.
Condition: In good condition overall, the wheel spins true and the rim does not have any flatspots or major damage. There is quite a bit of scratches on the rim.
The wheel is missing one spoke, but the hub and rim are not damaged in this area.
The hub spins fast and smooth. The cassette shifts fine and there is no major damage to any of the teeth.
The tread is probably around 65% still heaps of life left in it.
This wheel is very suitable to be used an abused. It is relatively heavy and has a few scratches here and there but it performs great and is built strong. If you are a bit of a hucker and wreck wheels easy, or want to save your good rear wheel for races, this is a suitable item.
