Don't use one of those compressor-less electric things, Air-less spray guns i think they call them, tried painting a wall with one once, absolutely useless.

I've used spray cans before with reasonable success but you are best off with any gun that runs off a compressor that has an adjustable nozzle.

why bother.....what it would cost for a decent spray gun and not to mention air compressor maybe cheaper to get it done by a professional .Why not ring 3 panel beaters and get some quotes and if u prep the frame for paint yourself u will save more dollars....not to mention spray painting is alot harder than it looks

Mate Im a Smash Repair, frames are a shit to paint even with good equipment
Ive done a few 80% of the paint goes to global cooling haha and the small runs.
Get it powder coated if you want a nice job
By the time you buy a spray gun, compressor the paint sand paper many $$$$$ unless you really want to paint your bike.
Try to borrow the equipment and make sure you clean it Just normal spray guns for cars .
Or if its just for fun try a spray can will do .
If it enamel its shinny you CARNT buff and the paint will go over every thing be carfully of your dads car
Acrylic you can polish it , rub if you get runs and paint again and very little sticky over spray, but its not shinny needs buffing and not real tough
Read the paint can for your safty and what it can do

Good Luck
pm me if you want more help
forgive my spelling im a panelbeater:eek:
Cheers Neil
