spring rates???

can anyone tell me what spring i should be using in a fox 40rc2 for dh use? i am 60kg.
also for someone of my weight should i use a 400lb or a 450lb spring for the rear shock?

If you've got fox 40's, I presume you'll be doing mainly DH/FR stuff? I'd go the 400 on the rear, it's what I run for DH, and I'm a bit heavier than that.

Cant help you with the front forks though, sorry.

the rear shock spring rate shock rate depends on the type of frame youre using and how much, travel it has and the shock stroke

try the TFTuned Spring calculator to get an idea.

Probably the soft spring. I am 95kg and run the standard med spring with hardly any preload. Once I got the high and low compression settings right for me I have been very happy with the fork. I only use the fork for dh riding and racing, not really set up to huck.
