i think he added the 15g (cassette) to the 150g saving of the crank

but regardless..... fuck paying $400 for an XX1 cassette
it was the only reason i never jumped to xx1....... esp not on a consumable part.... mech ok, shifter.. ok...but not for a cassette

i agree, i wince at the thought of shelling out big money for a cassette, even if X01 is still a few hundred i'd be pushed to commit.

funny theres no weight difference between the x1 and x01mechs...both are stated at 220g....

Although it looks like X01 will be 80% of the price of XX1 (it was like this X0 to XX) so really, you may only be saving 10% going this way since the crank on X01 looks budget...

Actually, I may as well splash that extra 10% on everything being fancy XX1. Dammit.

I'd prefer to smash an XO1 rear deraileur than a XX1, if XO1 is significantly cheaper

shimano may to try undercut sram, but i can't see sram doing it... not until X*1 trickles further down the ranks to X7/X9 anyway!

+1 the xd driver is a turn off for me. It will only go on 1 of my 3 wheel sets.
11-42 would be perfect.

XX1 spider will fit current X0 cranks.

X01 spider/crank looks closer to the current X9.

can always use a spiderless narrow-wide ring as well, such as the Wolftooth 24-36T options.
