Just a few videos from our trip 17/18 August:

My riding is pretty poor due to the fact that it was my first mountain ride since my accident back in April where I knocked in 3 of my front teeth after a nice face plant. Not concerned about negative comments, I enjoy riding no matter how slow or fast I go. Stromlo is awesome, I used to ride there before the fires when I lived their then I moved to Melbourne. Will be back for sure!

Skyline looks like my kinda track and perfectly suitable for my new ride.

Can you shuttle to the top at Stromlo?

I've got to head back to China for a few weeks, you up for a few days riding in Canberra when I get back? A day at Stromlo and a day on Bruce Ridge or something? Nicho and I have also been throwing around the idea of a long weekend in Thredbo as well if you're keen.

Sorry, missed this before. Nice, look forward to shuttles.

Are there any climb trails for the solo riding days as well?
The climb to the top using the main trunk trail is 6km, not very tech. There is a trail called cardiac arrest (if your after something to keep you honest) that gets you to the blue bridge. cardiac arrest has a section called hammerhead which those who watched the worlds would be familiar with.

The climbs although long result in some cracker downhills. Either down the main face (skyline, luge etc) or the western side (pork barrel and double dis).

Either way all the trails are crazy fun and there isn't many people who leave bored or feeling fresh its bloody big.

Excccccelent, thanks for the response. Reckon I'll be hitting that up on the reg with the new wheels. Have been in Canberra for 2.5 years and have only ever ridden Bruce Ridge..., which is still seriously awesome.

Bruce is a lot tighter than stromlo, a lot less bermy and a fair bit less technical on the climbs. Stromlo is a lot better signposted and some trails are very well maintained (although others sometimes need a bit of attention). If you're after a climb that's tough but not insane then avoid cardiac arrest and go up wattle happen/blackberry climb/slant six/something/heartbreaker, and that gets you up the top very nicely.
