I'm back in Tassie now as opposed to Brissie, so I can't help you in the way of riding buddies, but I just wanted to mention that Mapo is a pretty sweet track, the more you ride it the more you'll realise the abundance of lines.

Beerburrum would also be pretty close to you. I highly recommend having a run or two there, not a very technically challenging track, but tonnes of fun to be had.
