Suspension fork

Hi all,

I am after some help for a friend of mine and hope that someone can assist.

Shane is a mid 50's typical Aussie battler. He had a stroke 10 days ago and has been told not to drive for 8-10 weeks at least. His sole means of transport is now a 1981 Malvern Star rigid bike which I have helped him to build up. The trouble is that he finds the rigid fork too uncomfortable so is after some suspension.

Does anyone out there have a threaded fork that we could have? We could also make do with a threadless one but would need an aheadset to be able to use it, so if anyone has either of these items it would also be appreciated. The quality of sus is not too important as it is only being used on road and travel does not need to be over 50-60mm. Basically an old elastomer Rockshox or such like.

I am happy to take donations but if I have anything that I am able to swap, I am happy to do this. I have stacks of things (eg. front wheel, cassettes, disc hub, lock on grips etc) so I am sure that I will have something to suit.

Thanks in advance.

Steve:)
