Suspension setup and spring rate survey

The difference in vertical components of bump force between 65 degrees and 63.5 degrees is about 1.2% (ie fuck all), and in addition to that, you have even MORE pro-dive from your forks under braking with the slacker head angle, as well as having a fork that actually absorbs bigger bumps MORE easily than with the steeper head angle (more rearwards axle path). However 1.5* change in head angle is IMO just not worth changing springs for, especially since an x-soft Boxxer spring is roughly 15% softer than the soft!

Also not sure why people are still bothering to reply with air-sprung stuff... mentioned more than once that it's not any use.
mate maybe just be thankful that people are bothering to post at all and just trying to help

God you are a tard. S. Is one of the VERY few people on this site that know anything about anything. You, along with many others are the ones spouting on about shit you know nothing about.

FYI Joey and his dad are pretty good with suspension tuning (mainly his dad, Joey is a moron!) and upon speaking with him you'll realize that. Also, anything Steve happens to say in regards to suspension is gospel. Shut up, sit down and be damn happy for the opporunity.

I don't exactly know what you're doing with the data so it might be totally pointless but you could get an approximate 'spring rate' for an air spring. All you need is the diameter of the air piston. F=PA and ideal gas laws, make a few assumptions for simplicity, fit a few trend lines and bam Bob's your uncle. No?

If you know the volumes of the air chambers and the piston and shaft diameters it's very easy to calculate, however I don't happen to have that data unfortunately. I do appreciate people's replies but as I said, info on air-sprung forks or shocks isn't any use to me at the moment.
