Extra Info:

I am looking for a good quality fork for my road bike.

Preferably it would would be a threaded 27 inch fork, either alloy or Tange steel. Will consider others however.

Would also consider a threadless (or threaded) 700c fork if the price was right!

I do have a "temporary" fork on my bike atm, but I'm not happy with it, and want to find a stronger, permanent replacement.

Open to any and all offers

I don't have a spare but was in a similar position not so long ago. I got a Kinesis Road-d alloy fork (i think through BikeCorp) from the LBS, it goes alright for what it is but is a bit harsh. I did however go threadless and have an adaptor to fit 1 1/8" stem. I think the whole lot cost about $130. Ebay had some old GT carbon forks last time I logged on and I know Cyclesport at Thornleigh have some excellent steel forks but be prepared to pay a bit.
Hope this helps a little.
