I absolutely love my craftworks, but after riding it for 1 1/2 years, I started to wonder about a newer bike. After riding some mates bikes, I begun to notice some of the limitations of the crafty.
I started looking for some complete bikes second hand, but I saw this frame for a good price, and the guy included a pair of lyrik ultimates for a good price.
After a month long build, I present to you, my new bike!!!

in me vL comy
It does pedal strike about every 4.5 turns, so it does need shorter cranks to be its best
Have you got your suspension firm enough or are you blowing through the rear travel?
Fantastic change from the previous bike!

I haven’t bottomed out the shock, the cranks are just too long!

If you’re striking cranks that much, I don’t think 5-10mm shorter cranks will do much for you. Longer wheelbase long travel bikes with low BB’s require an adjustment in technique. Look at where you’re trying to pedal. My2c.

175mm to 165mm will help loads. But yes technique too

Are you sure you aren’t running short shocked, Luca? You do have a bit of history with this.

If it’s a 29 fork, it should lift, but just wondering if previous owner compensated elsewhere with a shorter shock to balance out a mullet. Just throwing it out there.

Yes, every bit helps, but if he’s striking every 4 to 5 crank rotations, technique is going to need to change even with short cranks.
it may have been a bit exaterated, but it strikes way too often

no, I swapped the 230x60 and now it has it has a 230x65 shock,

All good then. Sometimes there’s shenanigans that you don’t know about.

Comes down to technique then.
