Not all PYR can be boutiques right?
So here is my very basic but very functional older XC machine. Used for everything from long rail trail rides through to technical XC riding and racing.
Most components are low end Shimano with a full SLX 11 speed driveline. Really shitty set of lead weight forks which might be the next upgrade if I come across a nice set of older QR forks.
It bucked me off in a big way a few months ago, but I think I've forgiven it again now lol

Thread needs a re-naming to "The cheap and cheerful collarbone killer." :p

We all know hardtails like this can be a bit treacherous at times, but they're also a tonne of fun when all's going well. Not much will match the responsiveness of an XC/trail hardtail!

On the right trails, they're so much fun. It does make a lap of Lysterfield very entertaining.
Thread title fixed :p

cripes you’re jumping on an xc30 - i wouldn’t even try that & i used to ride rigid,
does the new beard aid/hinder once in the air?
Ha ha, its not the best piece of equipment I own, that's for sure!
I think the beard weighed too much and was not wind resistant enough, I shaved it off yesterday lol
Don't think I noticed a different in send performance with or without it!

Nice bike. Mate of mine had an older 2013 carbon Scale something I used to steal and ride occasionally. Was continually blown away with how capable it was for a dedicated XC ride, would just goad you into attempting stuff you probably shouldn't constantly.
