Wow that Facebook thread hurts. So many people being deliberately disingenious in their arguments, most of whom probably didn't have any issue with it in 1999. But then, the Interwebs wasn't the horrible trash-hole back then that it is now.

No wonder the "clever country" label from the 90's never stuck.

Who is John Farnham?

I think he was in Little River Band.

The number of people whinging about John Farnham giving his song to the Yes campaign is astounding. It makes me smile.
My Dictator Dan hating LNP voting anti woke warrior uncle just posted for his farcebook something about how terrible it is Farnham is allowing his song to help divide the nation…

Sigh…

In this weeks episode of racists who don't know they're racist...
He is depressingly cliche… Parrots all the best of the Herald Sun talking points. Anti cyclists, anti woke, anti genders blah blah blah…

Nice bloke over a beer if you stick to the narrow little world he occupies, but veer into anything remotely requiring a broad and considered view of the world at large and it goes pear shaped fast…

Jacinta Price in 2022
speaking at an Institute of Public Affairs event (Ground Zero for Ultra conservative fuckwits), and sucking up to gina rinehart and lachlan murdoch.

I know, right!?!? Nothing says "I am a glove puppet for my corporate and ultra conservative political oligarch masters" better than speaking at an IPA event.

Not fun at all fact: lord rupert's father and like-minded friends founded the Institute for Public Affairs.

'Country Liberal', for some reason I always thought she was a Liberal party member. It's still right-leaning pretty much like most of the IPA. I don't think she has a platform to talk on other than Sky News.
