That is certainly something that I believe we should do and Julie and I both as retired advocates in our own way are very keen to do that again. The hour is very late. Everyone should go to bed. Thank you very much indeed

You've gotta feel for tony. He did the best he could for the Australian people.

It was just a really pathetic and outdated attempt.

If the far left hate MT because he'll hold power and the conservatives hate him because he's too liberal,

I reckon we have it right.

Repeatedly people who know him personally, have said, the Tony Abbott you see is nothing like the real person. Suspect the architects of the slogan politics convinced him it was the way out of the hole.

Straight up, Aussies are a bunch of dumb fucks when it comes to politics and can't contemplate anything beyond the banal - as a populace we have been getting the politicians we deserve, or perhaps the back room advisors we deserve.......

On Changes in PMs - the only reason the public didn't like the Gillard challenge was that it was unexpected from a PM who was generally still popular and respected. The party therefore took out a PM when the public had no idea there were problems. The public I believe had no problems with Gillard been dethroned because they were polling badly.

Seriously, the very idea that the Australian voters would think that only they have the right of hire and fire speaks volumes for the educational attainment of said populace

That would require ignoring everything history tells us about him...he has marketed himself well, to be sure.

This is my problem with democracy.

Believes in action on climate change

Believes in equal rights for same sex marriages and has done for a long time

Believed in the apology to the stolen generation

Probably heaps more that escape me, but that's a pretty reasonable position of dosage meant with the conservatives within the coalition

It's show how degraded australian politics have become when a socialist hippy like me thinks a millionaire Liberal leader is our best choice for PM at the moment
