the long weekend at monster

Went down to monster for the first time on sunday night thinking there would be a few people down there. Ended up seeing a few of my mates down there, so the camera came out, got to use my flash for the first time, and this is what I got.

crop the flash out of 1 and you have a siiiick shot
and 3 looks out of focus?

No 4 for me.

Brilliant light throw (could be aimed a little higher and further back) and great reflection on the ground. Its a shame that plonker is crouched in the foreground.

A bit of cloning and he's gone. Nice photo's, fourth is my favourite too. the park mustn't have been too busy then?

If your there ever again shooting maybe try some shots with the flash a bit further back and a higher ISO. Spread some more flash light higher up the wall and even maybe get a better ground reflection with some of the riders shadow as well. This will open the shot more and "pop" the rider off the page.
