Okay, so i found that i need to find the 'Magic Ratio' for my bike. But none of the ratio's are 100% right..?

Specs:

Chain-ring: 32 (Current)
Cog: 12 - 18 (Will buy a new cog if needed)
Chain-stay: 430mm (43cm)

Here is the grid with out a half link.

Here is the gird with a half link.

Looks like 32x12 is close, but is it close enough? Also, how would 32x12 work for flat ground?

If i were to use a half link, would it be a normal chain and a half link, or a full half link chain?

I can't really afford a new chain-ring, and it won't fit with my bashguard..

Thanks

*Current set up is 32x14, but it wouldn't work for me.?

Just bloody well ride it! It isn't a nuclear missile! You're over doing it!

Just go to your local bike shop and get them to order you a new hanger!

Should cost between $35 and $45 and will take them no longer than 2 days to get in for you.

This will likely be the cheapest, fastest and easiest option for you as I'm assuming you don't have the tools and the knowledge to install a BB mounted chain guide.

Good luck!
