Shit. The longest i've got is 70mm.

My 60-210 is manual focus and my hand gets sore from all the zooming in and out.

Dudes, what the fuck? Why all the phallic innuendo all of a sudden? I was just saying I have a 400mm ruler.

Mmmkay, bit of a follow on from my last post:

I know a few of you guys have had photos published in some of the local rags, were you paid for them? And has anyone had their shots used for advertising?

What's the consensus about exposure vs. payment?
What ever gets published you should be getting paid for. Depending on where you are in photography you may be able to charge more or less.
For example if you own a photography business you should be charging them a fair big price for an advertisement shot (as they will be making alot of business from this single shot), where as if it is only for editorial (newspapers etc) the price should be a little lower because they are not using the shot to make money generaly speaking.
There are soooo many different ways to charge for a photo.
What will the shots be used for?
How big is the company that will be using them?
Who has the copy right in the end?
How long will the editorial piece/advertisement be going for?
How big is the photo that you are giving them?

Just some things to think about before giving any photos away.

P.s Oh and another thing. Mags usually have a set price for published pieces. So ask them how big the photo will be in the mag and depending on the size and where it is, depends on how much you should get. (Front cover = lots of money)

Slightly unfortunate angle and colour of shoes, but it looks like he has just put his foot through the wheel.

Not much to say other than that, i cant really see much else, kinda wood for trees thing.

Nice, man. I love my 24-70. What was that second photo taken with?

I'd love a 200 f/2.8 to add to my 135 f/2... Would be so awesome :p

yeah, i love the 200mm! but ive ordered a sigma 70-200 ex 2.8 macro to complete my set up, so my main lenses will be a 10-20, 24-70, and 70-200.. will get rid of most of my primes but the 200mm will stay :) till i can afford a 200mm f2L :p

btw

hows full frame treating ya? the thought of a 5dmk2 is killing me!
