With so many torque wrenches on the market, and invariably a few mods due soon for Christmas, what brand/type should one add to the toolbox?

Looking for recommendations, dont mind buying good quality over something that might not last.

Deflecting beam torques wrenches never need calibration. Park tool used to make some good ones. The big dogs are Warren and Brown but they are pricey. Look up Tohnichi on ebay for more reasonably priced ones.

I've got some random not too expensive hacksaw from Bunnings. I'm sure I would cut like shit with it, but I have the secret weapon! A cutting guide is the fuck up prevention you want.
Topeak Threadless Saw Guide. I've got one of these, works well. different spacer for sawing carbon included. & USE A CARBON SPECIFIC BLADE IF CUTTING CARBON. ;)
