The You Yangs Thread

If you are and you come across a fat bloke track marshelling on Sunday (and likely loudly cursing at the rain), stop and say hi :D
You’ll see a fat bald dwarf going by slowly also cursing the rain. I’ll say hi.

Lactic is running pretty rough after the event the other weekend so it'd be good for small bump stuff, but as wkkie says Cressy is probably best for suspension setting.
I normally just use repeated runs of that first rock garden

Thanks for the suggestions guys, forks are pretty sorted for the most part, was braking bumps where the damper was struggling at Buller a week ago. So after my damper mod sesh the other night I thought I'd go looking for some more braking bumps.

On another note, anyone park at the top carpark after YY park closing time (You Yangs front gate). I have done years ago and you can still drive out over the spikes, is this still a thing?

Yeah, they've still got the spikes at the front gate for exit anytime.

QQ for those in the know...

For a YYMTB club shuttle day I need an Auscycling licence. Does the day licence suffice?

$44 I believe.

A much needed addition for the YY. I don't think I've ridden there for 5 years or more as it has mostly been unchanged since I started going there. I.e. no new trails just occsaional maintenance and tweaks of existing.

Scoped out what I believe will be the "Eastern epic" link trail to the stockyards.

Lots of hike-a-bike as it just scrub, but interesting all the same.

Mostly runs 50m in alongside great circle drive. Unfortunately misses some fairly epic rock features.

Might have to zoom in on some pics to see the blue flag-tape in the distance...

Pops out just down from the top carpark.

Once I've finished my ride I'll post the rough route.
