I think offering "naming rights"or sponsorship rights to businesses could be one way to keep funding trail works. Some of us spend shitloads on unobtanium carbon fibred treadlies, why not get a bank to throw teh MTB clubs some money to allow them to greenwash their name a bit. We could be riding teh ANZ Hug trail, the Commonwealth Blair Witch or the Westpac Follow me.
Would there be a $2.50 fee for every trail we ride from another bank? :roll:

Good to see some interest in this. It's something we've been working on for quite a while now - the purpose of this trail adoption is to inject the funds directly into regular trail maintenance and building new trails. It allows us to afford machinery such as a bobcat more readily to reduce the manual labour required to maintain these trails. Remember - it's a handful of volunteers working on these trails and thousands of riders using them...
