That said, my argument has always been that Bernie had no chance because the majority of voters in the US are financially comfortable and would never take the gamble of voting for a socialist candidate. That situation has changed somewhat in recent days particularly given Trumps utter ineptitude and ’Amity Island Mayor-esque’ handling of the outbreak so Sanders may still be worth a punt*!


*provided he‘s not pushing up daisies come November
