Been trying to finally finish this new build noticed truvativ descendent gear especially there new carbon cranks and carbon bars very well priced.

Anyone had experience with there parts?

Once upon a time Truvativ were the bomb.

I had a descendent (aluminium) crank on my dh bike a while back. It was a good crank. Since the explosion of affordable shimano I haven't used anything else.

I still like their mid-higher end alloy cranks. X9 with direct mount ring is a winner. Running them on most of my bikes. Their carbon cranks are best avoided. I have s1750's and noir, the 1750's have been nothing but trouble. At least they won't crack sitting on the shelf.
My 9yo daughter has noir carbon bars. Hasn't broken them yet.

I've had Descendants which were a good crank, now running Noir whithout any problem at all.
