Tyre thread search frustration

Sorry to be a pain in the ass to everyone.

Awhile ago there was a thread made about maxxis tyres (DH I think.)
And about running fronts on both ends of the bike.
I want to find out some infomation on it but have failed so far in finding the
thread.
Im hoping someones else will have better luck in finding the thread then me
and would be kind enough to post the link in here.

It's too late for me to be bothered searching. But I think the gem you are after is that only the cool people run Maxxis Minion fronts on both the front and rear (as the general concensus is that the Maxxis Minion rear isn't as good). I personally don't do this, and run a High Roller on the rear.

the front minion is more tacky/grippy then the rear,
the rear minion is made tougher due to more skidding...
