i know some people would find this stupid but Fark em!
does anyone know any good places where there are good lines to make cool townhill lines, in the vicinity of melbourne. preferrably near the city. with stair drops, hucks and things.

Around docklands, south bank and the like. Heaps of gaps and stairs and stuff. Just have to be a bit creative! I love taking the DH bike up there for an urban sesh every so often.
