Waterproof/Backlight Computers...???

*Sorry if I've restarted an older thread but i simply can't find enough time to look through archives*

A friend and i are looking at doing night rides through bush trails (as part of training) and as winter is closing in, we'll be in the wet before we know it. Is there any cycling computers which are waterproof (ie- can withstand heavy rain) and if possible have a back-light for night riding?

Many Thanks in advance

The niterider range are pretty good, not sure how they'd go in a torrential downpour but they are backlit, have big easy to use buttons and handle moderate rain just fine.

If you're after a simple computer (ie no GPS etc), Sigma units are water resistant. I've had my 2006 in heavy rain with no probs many times.

Just got me a 2209 for my other bike. They work real well.

Try and avoid pressing buttons on any computer in heavy rain as this increases the chance of water getting past seals....
