how awesome would that be!next cyclocross World Champ
He may not be a pure climber (mind you he has won the Mt Buller MTB stage race) but holy crap he can generate some power in those legs. I've heard max-power numbers like 2500 watts. Suprised the bike didn't split in two!maybe one day classic road race champion
2.5kw is not that impressive, however I would love to see the torque that he is producing. When producing that power, what sort of cadence would he running at.?how awesome would that be!

I imagine his bike frame must be shuddering with nerves when he does an eliminator2.5kw is not that impressive, however I would love to see the torque that he is producing. When producing that power, what sort of cadence would he running at.?
Really, Shane Perkins puts out a max 2500 Watts and he goes alright.2.5kw is not that impressive, however I would love to see the torque that he is producing. When producing that power, what sort of cadence would he running at.?

Sorry. .. 2.5kw is a lot for someone. .. Just not an impressive number. . To put it into perspective, say he had a cadence of 90rpm. To produce the 2.5kw or 4hp he would be producing around 316nm of torque... That is car numbers.. and not some crappy 1.6litre either.Really, Shane Perkins puts out a max 2500 Watts and he goes alright.
Congratulations to Paul, an awesome effort for a cool guy.
Given I know sod-all about cars that means nothing to me. Plus isn't this a forum about bicycles?Sorry. .. 2.5kw is a lot for someone. .. Just not an impressive number. . But he is a human :crazy:the power output may be insanely high for a human but 2.5kw is not much, only barely a push mower power.
