Hey Farkers...sorry rotorburners i need some of your expertise! (PS i did a search and couldn't find anything)
Now im trying to set up a website - a business one, but i have no idea where to start! what do i need to do? Im a pretty smart guy (shut up martinpb before you say anything
) so i have every confidence that i could design my own web site etc eventually but i need a little advice to start the ball rolling.
Firstly from my research i gather need to register a domain name...who do i do this with? any recommendations?
Then i need to host it? is this correct? again any good companies?
As for design i should be OK as im pretty good with programs etc but if any of you can recommend a good free shareware website design package i would be very interested. Ive only ever used MS frontpage in the past and that was a loooong time ago.
Also any general advice on this kinda stuff would be appreciated as im more a nuts and bolts guy rather than keyboards and t'internet person.
