What bike??

I'm heading over to the US/Canada next week for the next 9 months and am going to be buying a bike over there, i've been checking out some stuff on the interent and have seen these few. What do you think?? I'll be living 15 minutes from the snow fields and of course during summer it is mtb crazy!!

in my opinion,since u r goin over to the us,y not get something that is harder to get in australia?
maybe u can look into the bmw range,karpiel disco volante , sinister R9 or the new ventana El Cuervo?

I'm just looking for a cheap but good bike to get me about and save me from boredom over there. I can't really spend all my saved up cash on a bike... I'll need it to live!!

The iron horse works out to be about $2060 australian... Pretty good I thought for specs like Boxxer race and 5th element shocks, also Hayes hydros etc.
I won't be riding it too hard... no racing, just hitiing the DH trails and a bit of NS etc.

man,i envy u.how i wish i got the chance to go to america/canada to ride.i m stuck here in singapore and its raining season now.been raining for a week non stop!and it'll be another 3 weeks when i m back to perth and face the scorching sun.
