Big wheels keep on turning?
There fucking huge! I put it next to my slope style bike (nuke proof rook) before leaving home and woth the rear wheels gains the wall, the rook's front wheel finished about 2 inches in front of the ibis fork axle! The riding position is very comfortable, but I really really really noticed the length. Especially trying to trick jumps and off lower speed drops. Will be some interesting times ahead.

And fuck me the dvo suspension is plush!!! It is so smooth.

I needed to rocket booster to really rip this around.

Quick bit of a pedal at the local. Friend's teen son has blown his bike up just in time for the holidays so loaned him the nuke proof for the afternoon and I rode the ibis.

This is my first venture into the big wheels and fuck me if the length of this thing isn't noticeable! It feels like the back wheel is a couple of days behind me. I'm sure I'll get used to it. I'm loving how plush the suspension is. Holy crap it feels good.

But then the time came for a bit of a whip off...so I grabbed the nuke proof and offered to throw the biggest whip the world has ever seen. On that first roll through the dirt lumps I felt like I was riding my mini rocker bmx!!! It took a few laps to get the feel back on a bike I ride pretty much every day and generally feel instantly comfortable on.

For what it's worth I threw a pretty big whip. It went out far enough that my leg locked against the bar and I rotated my line a bit and went off into the bushes a little when I landed. But it wasn't the biggest whip the world has ever seen. That will have to wait til next week.

Yesterday rather than today, went for a local gravel loop. Beautiful weather too.

Couple of recent changes on the bike too, SQ Lab inner bar-ends (gives roadie hand position comfort, but retains flat bar handling if needed), and Pirelli 50mm tyres. This front tyre is a standout - grippy on everything I pointed it at (though TBA if that carries across to wet conditions...):
