Hello internets, I am replacing an old RS Reba Ti for my SS 29er steel HT (traditional 1.1/8 i.e. 34mm not the later 44mm) . Does the following animals exist to buy new these days?
:bananalama:
Sturdy 29er 100mm, 1.1/8th through steerer, 15/20mm axle, lockout-a-ble, and NOT a SID because I tried and they are too noodly/un-confidence-inspiring...

FYI if you where thinking of this then BAMP - it's for 44mm: http://www.bikerumor.com/2010/05/20...red-steerer-forks-on-straight-1-18-headtubes/

what about one of these: http://www.manitoumtb.com/products/forks/tower/

I ran one on my old steel SS 29er and regret selling it to get a reba. it was stiffer, smoother and cheaper then the reba. not sure if they come with a thru axle but?
From specs (although it appears mis-typed) it appears 9mm qr only - which doesn't make sense because I thought tapered goes hand-in-hand with qr15/qr20...

I have a gold Hope head set for you
a) I don't need a headset and b) your not having my Niner!

The specs aren't up to date on the Manitou website.

Tower Expert = 9mm QR & 1 1/8" steering
Tower Pro = 9mm QR or 15mm QR and 1 1/8" steering or tapered steering

The Tower Expert could be converted to 15mm QR by using lowers off the Tower Pro, I've read about someone doing this, it could probably also be converted to a 20mm axle by using Drake/Minute 29er lowers.
