Was the DoubleWide a 24" and was it green? No rim can withstand hucking like a 24" green DoubleWide with 3" Gazzy's.

it was white 26",i dont really want to go to a 24" as with my homemade linkages i am getting about 9 1/2 inch travel from the back and the chainring etc gets too close to the ground now

The rim folding in that pic usually happens when your tyre has too low pressure and you land heavily on something pointy like a stair or a branch. What pressure were you running and how did it happen?

i always run low pressures 34 MAX and this is the only rim that has done this, always the same riding..havnt had a pinch flat in over 1 1/2 years. i suspect it was a heavy landing on a step.

its been like it for a year now and the crack hasnt got a lot bigger

Then why change? A year for a "hucking" rim is a darn long time. whe it finally fails just get another one.

maybe you should try running a bit bigger tire or bit more presure in your tire it will stop it riming out and bending the side walls or your rim.

thats the best thing i've seen you post! i love you! lol

seriously though... im running doublewides. well i was untill i destroyed the rear one.. they are damn strong.. the best looking rims around too, other than atomlabs. i find that doubletracks are stronger than doublewides though.. even with 3"gazzaz..

Doublewides are strong? Yikes... I dunno about that.

For outright abuse, 48spoke SMO, heavy, strong, and pricing is ok on them. You'll probably bend the sidewalls, but they're thick enough to bend back with no hassles. If a rim can support my weight with no spokes, it's a good sign. SMO's can do this, Doublewides are squishy... it's a very scientific test ;) The main thing doublewides have for them is pinchflat prevention, which is good in a sharp edged urban environment, but really, just pump up your tyres.

how many spokes on the 321? 32 or 36?

what about a 24" 48 spoke halo SAS rim. available in black/white or GOLD :p

i would recomend getting it hand built as the prebuilt wheels are machine built and could be better.

dont get me wrong the wheels are ok but could be better. but the rims in a good handbuilt wheel. well what do i have to say Mr Bender ran a 24" 48 spoke on his armagedon!

my mate runs SMO'a and rides hard and shit. he still hasn't bent one after a year and a half. i would give ema shot. they are pretty cheap too.

uhhh, i think 'city hucking' is going to result in any rim getting fucked up pretty easily... But i'll chime in and say Dice SMO, from my experience they will stay straight as a 15 year old's pecker when he discovers internet porn, and the sidewalls are well chunky so they'll resist the denting.
