I have just taken a pair of juicy 7's off of my bike, and replaced them with a nice new pair of elixir cr. I have bled the rear break line. It is the correct length to the rear wheel . tomorrow im going to shorten the other hose on the front brake and do a bleed.
as the dot 5.1 fluid is corrosive ,im unsure whether i shouild just put the scrap cable in the bin?
Im hoping someone that works in a bike shop will be able to tell me what is the best way to dispose of old hydraulic break lines . is there a proper way to dispose of them ?

Brake fluid is water soluble so if you are worried about it wash them off with a hose and then throw out.
