Very broad question IMO. We would need to know specs and condition for starters. However I'd be careful with a nearly 7 year old mountain bike, it could have had an absolute thrashing in that time so wear will be a large factor and ultimately decide whether you would consider buying the bike. Post up all the information on the bike you've got and you'll get a more accurate response...
