When should I rebuild?!

I'm just curious as to how often I should do a full rebuild of my AM and DH bikes?
I've had my AM bike for a year and a few months and it gets ridden fairly often and I figure since winter is getting near I may as well take the opportunity.

You should take a close look at your bike, and note how often and conditions it was ridden in. Shouldnt be a case of ride it till it dies or needs servicing. You should ideally be doing things along the way.

All things on a bike wear differently, so need attention at different times.

But yes, if you have the opportunity, do some servicing to keep it all as best as possible.
