15 years of a block of wood and a hammer have never failed me.I don't have the tools to install a 1.5" crown race and willing to go anywhere in Sydney to get one installed. I am in the City/Inner West area and Cheeky Monkey (Newtown) and Stanmore Cycles say they dont have the tools.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
He's right. I used to be nervous installing crown races. But you soon realize it's hard to f#ck up.15 years of a block of wood and a hammer have never failed me.

I'm inclined to agree with this.If your LBS can't install a crown race onto a 1.5' steerer, they shouldn't be a LBS.
Block of wood and a hammer does the job.I don't have the tools to install a 1.5" crown race and willing to go anywhere in Sydney to get one installed. I am in the City/Inner West area and Cheeky Monkey (Newtown) and Stanmore Cycles say they dont have the tools.
