Which One?

With a budget of around $1500, I'm wondering which hardtail 29er. I have done some searching on here and other forums so am now posting which would be best for me.

I ride single track, mainly Wombat, You Yangs, Bulla, Bright etc.

Giant, Merida, Cannondale??

Many options with Giant according to reviews coming out on top. Some help from the pros here would be great.

The XtC has the better fork... running gear is similar.

Apart from that I'd say choose the one you like the best in terms of colour. If you like the bike you'll ride it more.

doubt that the cannondale would have as good a spec for money as merida or giant at that price point, but if you hop on all 3 and it feels the best then do it. Remember that whatever you buy is only a starting point. If you don't like the spec, change it. But the frame and geometry is what it is.
