World's Top Enduro Events - Bucket List Suggestions?

Recent conversations with my riding crew have thrown up a number of events that we have on the horizon to complete sometime - pending work, family and life commitments - which inspired the below blog post.

Any thoughts on events that may not have been captured in the post as worthy contenders?

I'd add where we are now to the list - Finale Ligure in Italy for their 24 hour. OK, its a 24 Hour but the track, scenery and general lifestyle are pretty special. The origanisers also do a lot of the Super-Enduro series work as well, so it all works well (but Italian style). I think we're all coming back!

i loved the great divide trail. would be keen to ditch the luggage and race the gdmbr too.

I love European events and the whole scale of them.

I have ridden the Salzkammergut trophy in Austria for the last 4 years and really love how all the locals get behind an event with up to 4000 riders.
I have also done the Sella Ronda Hero in Italy which has some of the most amazing scenery you can imagine although climbing 4200M in 82km left me doing quite a bit of walking.....

At these events you meet riders from all over the world, even a few Aussies and last year i rode with Gary Fisher for 20mins on a climb which was cool.

I hope to ride Pass Portes Du Soleil next year for something different.....

Personally I've done Cape Epic and Wildside twice each. Next year will be BC bike race and Trans Rockies if I can get approval off the Financial Controller ( wife ).

Mates of mine have done BC Bike race, Trans Rockies, Tour De Timor and Joberg2c.
Each race has its own character and charm. It depends on what you are looking for in a race. Big days on the bike vs single track vs climbing into the sky vs remote wilderness.
There are plenty of events, decide on what flicks your switch and go for it.
